We love being here in the Coeur d'Alene community.

Part of our mission is to provide ways for local authors and artisans to share their work with our customers. We also believe in supporting our local schools through teacher and librarian discounts.

There are many wonderful local nonprofit organizations here as well.

We honor many fundraiser requests with Gift Cards and books.

Our primary focus is with non-profits here in North Idaho that support education, the arts and the environment. Please review and use our donation request form,

which will allow us to review our charitable giving budget and have the time required to meet your request.

Many of us also donate personally to BINC – the Book Industry Charitable Foundation -

that meets emergency needs of booksellers all over the country.

We think you might be interested in their mission too!

The Book Industry Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that coordinates charitable programs to strengthen the bookselling community. Established in 1996, the core program provides assistance to bookstore employees who have a demonstrated financial need arising from severe hardship and/or emergency circumstances. Since its inception, the organization has provided more than $6 million in financial assistance and scholarships to more than 7,300 families. Support for the Foundation’s programs and services come from all sectors of the book industry.

The Book Industry Charitable Foundation’s mission is to strengthen the bookselling community through charitable programs that support employees and their families.  The Foundation was imagined and built by booksellers and proudly continues to be their safety net.  It is our vision to be a caring community of book people.

Local Authors & Artists:

There are so many talented people here in North Idaho!

We work hard to support as many different types of literature and art that as have space for.

It adds to the creativity and individuality of our store!

For local authors, we have a consignment program to place books on our shelves.

Please see our Consignment Policy and Consignment Request Form.

We promote authors in a variety of ways through our Social Media and in-store displays.

If you are interested in having a reading & book signing event, please see our Event Policy.

While we do our best to promote local authors, we also ask that they include our website

as a place readers can find their book. Cross promoting is important!

For local artists, we have wall space available on a monthly basis.

We enjoy having a different artist on the wall each month – it adds variety to our store!

We also occasionally have display space for local artisan works.

Please see our Artist Agreement for additional information.

Thank you!
